Republic Day Celebration – A Tribute to the Spirit of India
Nazareth Primary School commemorated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotic fervour on 26 January 2026. The campus resonated with national pride as students and teachers came together to honour the Constitution of India and the values it upholds.
The programme began with a brief yet meaningful introduction, setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by a solemn and respectful procession towards the flag post, led by the school leadership—Headmistress Sr. Stella Mary, Academic Coordinator Mrs. Vaishali Correia, and teachers Mrs. Brinita D’Silva and Mrs. Liza Pinto.
The moment of pride unfolded as the respected Headmistress hoisted the National Flag, symbolizing freedom, unity, and the sovereignty of the nation. As the tricolor unfurled, the gathering stood in reverence, reflecting deep respect and love for the country.
The ceremony continued with a prayer and petitions, expressing gratitude to God and seeking blessings for peace, harmony, and progress.
Adding charm and innocence to the celebration, students of Sr. KG presented a delightful one-act play and a heartfelt poem, captivating the audience with their confidence and enthusiasm.
This was followed by a thought-provoking skit performed by students of Std III and IV, highlighting important social issues and inspiring the young minds to grow into responsible and aware citizens.
The atmosphere was further elevated by a patriotic group song rendered by students of Std III and IV, echoing love and devotion for the motherland.
A meaningful speech by Master Riyansh Gharat of Std III beautifully reflected the spirit of patriotism and respect for the nation’s rich heritage.
The celebration came alive with vibrant dance performances by students from Sr. KG to Std IV, gracefully portraying India’s rich culture and the timeless message of unity in diversity.
Addressing the gathering, Headmistress Sr. Stella Mary emphasized the importance of living the school theme, “Gratitude in Action.” She urged students to value their responsibilities and work collectively towards building a brighter future as proud and responsible citizens of India.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram,” leaving the audience deeply moved and filled with renewed patriotic spirit. The celebration stood as a memorable tribute to the nation and its enduring values.
