Prosinac 2021. Član projektnog tima Petar Pervan je održao javno predavanje "Modification of optical properties of metal-dielectric systems by electric field produced structural changes" na Institutu Ruđer Bošković. U predavanju je predstavio temu svoje doktorske dizertacije. / December 2021. Petar Pervan, member of the project team, had a public presentation with a title " Modification of optical properties of metal-dielectric systems by electric field produced structural changes“ at Ruđer Bošković Institute. He presented the subject of his PhD dissertation.
Listopad 2021. Članovi projektnog tima Vesna Janicki i Jordi Sancho-Parramon su sudjelovali na međunarodnoj konferenciji Interphotonics 2021 (Oludeniz, Turska). Vesna Janicki je održala pozvano predavanje pod naslovom „Optical characterization of spin coated Ag/polimer nanocomposite film on soda-lime substrate“ gdje je predstavila rezultate rada TamilSelvi Selvam, a Jordi Sancho-Parramon je predstavio poster „Spectroscopic ellipsometry characterization of glass poling and electric field assisted dissolution processes“. / October 2021. Vesna Janicki and Jordi Sancho-Parramon, members of the project team, participated at international conference Interphotonics 2021 (Oludeniz, Turkey). Članica projektnog tima TamilSelvi Selvam održala je javno predavanje "Optical microstructures based on surface-selective growth of Ag nanoparticles on thermally poled soda-lime glass“ na Institutu Ruđer Bošković. Na predavanju je predstavila dio rezultata svog dosadašnjeg rada, koji se odnose na promjenu afiniteta poled stakla žarenog u električnom polju) u odnosu na netretirano staklo za formiranje Ag nanočestica iz tekuće otopine srebrne soli i PVP-a u acetonitrilu. Pokazano je da nanočestice na površini poled stakla sadrže više srebra nego na netretiranom, da se afinitet ne mijenja s vremenom, te da efekt ostaje prisutan i nakon pokrivanja površine tankim dielektričnim ili Cr slojem. Ovaj efekt je iskorišten za dobivanje mikrostrukture. / October 2021. TamilSelvi Selvam, member of the project team had a public presentation with a title "Optical microstructures based on surface-selective growth of Ag nanoparticles on thermally poled soda-lime glass“ at Ruđer Bošković Institute. She presented part of the results from her research, related to the change of the affinity of the poled glass (glass annealed in electric field) in comparison with untreated glass for the formation of Ag nanoparticles by wet chemistry method. It was shown that nanoparticles grown on the surface of poled glass contain more silver than grown on an untreated glass. Also, it was shown that the affinity is not changing with time and the effect remains present even after coating the surface with thin dielectric or Cr layer. This effect is used for production of a microstructure.
Svibanj 2021. HRZZ je odobrila produljenje projekta za 6 mjeseci. Produljenje smo tražili radi okolnosti uzrokovanih pandemijom COVID-19. / May 2021. HRZZ has approved 6 extra months for the duration of the project. We were asking for additional months due to the circumstances caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

Boris Okorn i Petar Pervan, članovi projektnog tima, su na Ljetnoj školi znanosti S3++ 2019 (Požega, Hrvatska) vodili projekt 'Nanotechnology - it's a piece of cake!' u sklopu kojeg su polaznici naučili osnove tehnike EFAD (koja se istražuje u sklopu ovog projekta), dizajnirali svoj eksperimentalni postav i izveli nekoliko eksperimenata. / 8-18 August 2019 Boris Okorn and Petar Pervan, members of the project team, had a project 'Nanotechnology - it's a piece of cake!' at the international Summer School of Science S3++ 2019 where participants learned the basics of the EFAD technique (that is investigated in this project), assembled their experimental setup and made several experiments!

Srpanj 2018. Obavljen je kompletan remont Varian uređaja za izradu tankih slojeva naparavanjem pomoću elektronskog topa. Tokom remonta je ugrađen mjerač i kontroler protoka radnog plina. / July 2018. Upkeep of the Varian e-beam thin film deposition instrument was done. Additionally, a flow-meter was added.
6.6. 2018. Objavljen je natječaj za doktoranda koji će raditi na projektu, a krajem srpnja je izabran najbolji kandidat. Tokom studenog se očekuje da nam se pridruži novi član grupe. / 6.6.2018. PhD student position for the project is opened. At the end of July the best candidate was chosen. We expect a new team member in November.

Veljača 2018. Mag.ing.el. Boris Okorn je uspješno obranio doktorsku dizertaciju, te od toga dana na projektu surađuje još jedan doktor znanosti. / February 2018. mag.ing.el. Boris Okorn has successfully defended his PhD dissertation so now we have one more PhD working on the project.
Siječanj 2018. Na projektu je počela raditi dr. Vesna Blažek Bregović, zadužena za sintezu metalnih nanočestica, pripremu tankih slojeva sol-gel metodom i reverzno restrukturiranje. /January 2018. dr.sc. Vesna Blažek Bregović joins the team. She is in charge of metal nanoparticle synthesis, sol-gel preparation of thin films and reverse restructuring.
