I was watching a video on YouTube the other day … a video by Inayah McMillan, a twenty-three-year-old millionaire who built a multi-million-dollar business empire.
In the video, she was talking about how she reprogrammed her mind to be a millionaire at only twenty.
And honestly, it wasn’t the “millionaire” part that caught me ,… it was how she spoke about changing her mindset, almost like rewriting her inner code.
She called it “brainwashing” but not in a negative way. She meant training her mind to believe she was capable of everything she wanted before she even saw the results.
That made me stop and think.
How often do we limit ourselves not because we lack potential, but because our thoughts tell us we’re not ready, not smart enough, not “there” yet?
1. The Power of Belief
Inayah talked about how your mind listens to what you repeatedly tell it.
If you constantly replay “I’m not good enough,” you start to live that script. But when you feed your mind new instructions ; like “I’m building something great,” “I’m capable,” “I can figure this out” … your actions start to align with that energy!
It reminded me that belief isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect; it’s about training your thoughts to support where you want to go.
2. Start Before You Feel Ready
She didn’t wait for everything to line up before starting. She began small … with $20, in fact ,and just built from there.
That hit home cause, honestly, I’ve had moments where I delayed starting projects or sharing ideas, thinking I needed to know everything first. But the truth is, clarity comes after you start.
You learn, adjust, and grow along the way.
Progress doesn’t come from perfection; it comes from movement.
3. Thinking Long-Term
Inayah wasn’t just chasing quick wins; she was building systems and habits that would last. That’s a mindset shift I’m working on too … to stop thinking in days and start thinking in years.
To ask myself: what small thing can I do today that my future self will thank me for?
Because every big dream starts with a small, consistent habit … whether that’s learning a new skill , designing another layout, or simply showing up for your goals daily.
4. Self-Education Is a Superpower
She emphasized learning outside traditional paths. Reading, observing, experimenting … that’s exactly what changed her life.
And that part resonated deeply with me. As a student and web designer, I’ve realized that no class alone can build your future; it’s your curiosity, consistency, and willingness to teach yourself that does…
So if you’re reading this and doubting where to start , start with learning. Even 30 minutes a day compounds over time.
5. Reprogram Your Inner Voice
At the heart of everything she said was this idea: you can’t out-earn or outgrow your mindset.
If you think small, you’ll build small. If you think big and back it up with work,.. your life eventually catches up with your thoughts.
So from now on , I’m practicing that.
Replacing “I don’t know enough” with “I’m learning enough.”
Replacing “I’m not there yet” with “I’m on my way.”
Focus your energy on what you can do instead of what you can’t… your success instead of your failures… your brain attracts what you think which is positivity.
Instead of asking ‘how will I get there’ try ‘why should I get there?’ because reason fuels consistency..
Because maybe becoming “successful” isn’t about luck or timing ; maybe it’s about reprogramming your inner voice until it finally believes in you.
Inayah’s story taught me that we all have the power to rewrite our mental code …. to shift from doubt to discipline, from fear to faith.
She built her empire by reprogramming her mind first, and her actions followed.

So here’s my question for you:
What belief do you need to reprogram today?
