Sofia Karina Trommlerová is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Public Policy, Comenius University Bratislava in Slovakia, and Co-Founder and Co-Director of SAVIA - the first Slovak Association of Women in Science and Innovations. Sofia is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and Central European Labor Studies Institute (CELSI), and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Slovak Economic Association.
Sofia uses statistical methods to examine topics related to family, fertility, child health, and gender. Her main research interests encompass family economics, population economics, development economics, and economic demography. In all of her work, she uses applied microeconometric methods.
