RepNet can measure the time-period of oscillations of a pendulum.
This removes the need for measuring the period manually with the stopwatch.
Below we use RepNet to measure the oscillation periods of two pendulums (video). We will also compare the ratio of the predicted periods to what is expected from physics.
The above ratio of periods is based on the output of RepNet.
We now estimate the ratio of periods based on the physics equation of period of oscillation (T) of a pendulum with length L under gravity g.
We observe the predicted ratio of periods (T1/T2) is close to the expected ratio of periods based on approximate lengths of the pendulums (^T1/^T2).
