Day2 (Aug 20) 14:00-15:30 at Ritsumeikan University Osaka Ibaraki Campus H201
Mr. Jeff Gomez.
Jeff Gomez is an architect of large-scale narrative systems, internationally recognized for designing the storyworld architectures and canon governance behind some of the most enduring global franchises of the modern era.
For more than 25 years, Jeff has pioneered long-horizon narrative frameworks that enable intellectual properties to expand across platforms, cultures, and decades while maintaining coherent identity. His work has shaped global franchises including Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Halo, Transformers, Spider-Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, contributing to billions in franchise value across media, licensing, and global markets.
Jeff is also a creator or co-creator of original storyworlds including media extensions of Hot Wheels, Magic: The Gathering, Coca-Cola's Happiness Factory, and Turok. Jeff is currently collaborating with Ashley Eckstein to develop and executive produce an original multi-platform universe for The Walt Disney Company. He also serves as international creative consultant to Tsuburaya Production on the global revitalization of Ultraman, spanning partnerships with Netflix, Marvel Comics, and Shogakukan.
At the core of Jeff's career is canon governance—the structural discipline that allows worlds to persist without fragmentation as creators, platforms, and audiences multiply. This expertise now extends to AI-native media, where generative systems are transforming narrative from authored sequence into participatory environment.
Jeff advises select AI-native entertainment platforms and media companies on brand essence, narrative defensibility, relational continuity, and long-horizon world architecture. He helps design persistent systems that leverage AI's capacity to listen at scale while preserving identity, coherence, and ethical structure—what he calls “the Mythic Field.”
Accredited by the Producers Guild of America, Jeff drafted the Transmedia Producer credit now used across film, streaming, and gaming industries. Beyond entertainment, Jeff has applied systemic narrative frameworks to large-scale educational, cultural, and international initiatives in collaboration with global institutions and NGOs.
Jeff Gomez works at the intersection of franchise architecture, cultural systems, and generative worlds.
