RESEARCH
I am interested in enumerative geometric questions about moduli spaces of curves, of maps from curves to other targets, and in general any pretty moduli space (of which there are many). The techniques I employ tend to be combinatorial in nature, and include Atiyah- Bott localization, intersection theory, tropical geometry and logarithmic geometry.
I am part of the Moduli and Enumeration Research Group in the department of Mathematics at Colorado State University.
WRITINGS
Some writings spanning from class materials to research lecture notes, to expository talks. Hope it is fun and maybe helpful. But with the caveat: not all of this material has been reviewed and proofread, so take it all with a grain of salt!
ACTIVITIES
Here are some things I do with and for the mathematical community, both at CSU and around the world. Math does not exist in a vacuum, and contributing to a healthy, functional and inclusive community is no small part of what I do.
I serve on the board of:
NON-MATH STUFF
A glimpse outside of work. Because math is a wonderful job, but not everything ;)
