HAMMERSMITH TATTOO LONDON
HAMMERSMITH TATTOO LONDON
As a guest artist at Hammersmith Tattoo London, you keep all of your daily earnings, with only a £100 daily rent payable at the end of each session day. For any additional appointments or walk-ins provided by the studio, earnings are split 50/50 between you and the studio.
For more detailed information, please refer to the Guest Artist Appointment Policy.
At Hammersmith Tattoo London, we require a deposit for all appointments as a commitment from the client to the artist, securing both the artist’s time and the studio space. Deposits help ensure that the appointment will go forward as planned, and in the case of a cancellation or no-show, they provide some compensation to the artist for their reserved time.
Our suggested deposit amount is £100 or more, depending on the scope of the project. There are a few ways to collect the deposit:
Artist: Bank transfer, PayPal, or cash directly from the client.
Studio: Through our website, where clients can pay via all major bank cards, American Express, Google Pay, or Apple Pay; PayPal; or cash in person.
If the studio processes the deposit, we recommend taking £100, which covers the artist’s daily rent. However, it is generally best for artists to handle deposits directly with clients. This way, if there is a cancellation or no-show, the artist can manage the deposit without needing the studio to handle any extra transactions.
That said, the studio is always available for deposit handling if artists prefer. Some clients feel more comfortable making payments through the studio, as it may seem more legitimate or secure. In these cases, we’re happy to assist in processing the deposit on your behalf, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for your clients.
Customers can pay their deposit here:

Once the deposit has been paid, please ask the client to send you a screenshot of the transaction for verification. To ensure everything is in order, double-check with Ziggy or the studio reception that the deposit has gone through. This step ensures a smooth and secure booking process for both artists and clients.
All payments for appointments should be made directly to the artist. However, if the artist prefers, payments can be processed at the reception desk. At the end of each workday, daily rent payments will be settled with the studio.
For appointments booked through the studio or walk-ins, payment will always be handled at the reception desk, as these sessions operate on a percentage split with the studio. The final amount will be settled at the end of the workday and paid out in cash to the artist.
For added convenience, we provide a POS terminal for clients wishing to pay by card. The studio covers all transaction fees associated with card payments, so neither the artist nor the client incurs any additional charges. This ensures a straightforward and transparent payment process for everyone.
As a guest artist at Hammersmith Tattoo London, it’s essential to have your own client base in London, as our daily rent offer is based on the expectation that you bring your own clients. While you are welcome to accept studio-requested appointments or walk-in tattoos, please keep in mind that resident artists are given priority for these bookings, and we cannot guarantee a full schedule for guest artists.
That said, we’ll do our best to help fill your calendar by offering any additional appointments available. However, we strongly recommend not relying solely on studio appointments to ensure a productive and successful guest spot.

This approach also adds an extra layer of legitimacy for clients, as they’ll see that you’re officially guesting at Hammersmith Tattoo London. Collaboration posts can make a significant impact on engagement, so let’s work together to maximise your exposure!
To make the most of our collaboration posts and effectively reach our audience, here are a few tips:
Write the Description in English: Our followers are primarily English speakers, so keeping the description in English will help maximise engagement.
Include Your Guest Spot Month: Mentioning the month of your guest spot helps followers know when you’ll be available and can encourage them to book in advance.
Add Relevant Details: Highlight any special offers, specific designs you’d like to work on, or unique aspects of your style. This information will help potential clients understand what they can expect and may attract more interest.
These tips will help ensure the post resonates with our audience, bringing more visibility and bookings for your guest spot. Let us know if you’d like any additional guidance!
Guest artists booking days at Hammersmith Tattoo London are responsible for the following:
1. Client Scheduling: Artists are expected to have clients scheduled for the days they will be in the studio. Please inform the studio in advance if there are any days you plan to take off or days when you don’t have customers, so we can adjust accordingly.
2. Promotion for Unbooked Days: If the artist does not have clients scheduled in advance, they are required to fund a digital marketing campaign (such as through Meta platforms) to promote their work on social media prior to their arrival. This helps increase visibility and attract potential clients for the guest spot.
This approach ensures that guest artists make the most of their time at the studio and reach as many local clients as possible.
