According to the April 4, 1996 issue of the Baltimore, Walter Percy Holmes Jr. led police to the 1900 block of Ridgetop Road. (That would be near where the Carrie Murray Nature Center is now.) At the location was the body of his girlfriend who had been reported missing earlier. Mr. Holmes later was convicted of second degree murder of Ms. Wallace, who was killed during an argument at the home of Mr. Holmes in the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road.
According to court records, Mr. Walter Percy Holmes Jr. received a 30 year sentence for the crime and as of 10/01/2015 he resides at Western Correctional Institute in Cumberland. Also, on an unrelated note, according to court records there is a Walter Percey Holmes III born in 1987 serving 25 years with 13 suspended, for sex abuse of a minor child.
