I'm so glad you're here! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. For many, therapy can feel like a big (and sometimes anxiety-inducing) step. This is completely normal! I know therapy can at first feel scary and uncertain. I am here to support and walk alongside you as you take this next step!
I believe therapy is YOUR space and should feel comfortable and safe. I take a collaborative approach with my clients to ensure that your goals are heard, understood, and being worked on. I bring warmth, empathy, and compassion to my work while striving to also create space to help you challenge different patterns that might be keeping you stuck. I believe it's important to understand each aspect of my client in order to fully grasp who you are and the impact different experiences have had on you. This includes looking at family-of-origin relationships, current relationships, and the systems you are surrounded by and a part of. I believe it is important for us to identify ways to create/utilize support systems to help you make and maintain the changes you want. I practice from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, relational framework.
I started my journey in the field by obtaining my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2019. While there, I received significant training and experience working with children, young adults, families, couples, and individuals experiencing a wide range of presenting issues. Since then, I have provided Family-Based Services in Delaware County to families, teens, children, and parents for 3 years using Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy. My work has provided me with a wide scope of experience working with different populations and treating different issues.
Some fun facts about me:
*My husband and I have a 2 1/2-year-old Shiba Inu dog and a 3-year-old cat. Our dog's cuteness is definitely unmatched! Co-habitation between them is a continual work in progress.
*I enjoy being outside hiking, playing soccer, walking around Philadelphia, and finding all the spots for great views. I would argue Benjamin Franklin Bridge has one of the most stunning views of the city!
