Conclusion Questions

As part of this investigation, students have evaluated different types of renewable energy resources by researching the important advantages and disadvantages of each type of resource. Students used information from reliable sources to determine the power output from a chosen renewable energy location and calculated how many of their own households could be powered by that resource.

1. What was the most important factor for you in deciding on an energy source and why?

2. What was the least important factor for you in deciding on an energy source and why?

3. Do you think it is worth the negative impacts to use this type of renewable energy?

4. Now that you understand the capacity factor involved in various forms of renewable energy, would you have made a different decision? If so, which form of energy would you choose?
