René Mylemans

Digital artist. After completing his interior design training at the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels, René Mylemans dedicated himself to the creation and development of lighting fixtures. The 3D design techniques he employs gradually led him to explore other avenues. They drove him to create architectures that draw their substance from the unlikely marriage of reality and the inner worlds that inhabit him. He generates hybrid spaces, transitional universes where light remains an essential component. At the end of the process, these pivotal worlds crystallize into compositions, which are gathered here in the site's gallery.

Digital artist. Après sa formation d’architecte d’intérieur à l’institut Saint-Luc de Bruxelles, René Mylemans se consacre à la création et au développement de luminaires. Les techniques de conception 3D qu'il utilise le poussent progressivement à explorer d'autres pistes. Elles l'amènent à créer des architectures qui puisent leur substance dans le mariage improbable du réel et des mondes intérieurs qui l'habite. Il génère des espaces hybrides, des univers transitoires où la lumière demeure une composante essentielle. Au terme du processus, ces mondes charnière se cristallisent sous la forme de compositions ici regroupées dans la galerie du site.

Digital artist. Na zijn opleiding tot interieurarchitect aan het Sint-Lucasinstituut in Brussel wijdt René Mylemans zich aan het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van verlichtingsarmaturen. De 3D-ontwerptechnieken die hij gebruikt, brengen hem er geleidelijk toe om andere wegen te verkennen. Ze leiden hem ertoe architecturen te creëren die hun essentie halen uit de onwaarschijnlijke combinatie van de werkelijkheid en de innerlijke werelden die hem bewonen. Hij genereert hybride ruimtes, overgangsuniversums waarin licht een essentiële component blijft. Aan het einde van het proces kristalliseren deze overgangswerelden zich in composities die hier zijn samengebracht in de galerij van de site.
