Each lesson is 60 minutes, giving students enough time to work on technique, repertoire, theory, and musicianship without feeling rushed. I aim to personalise each class to the studentās pace, needs, and goals.
A typical lesson might include:
Warm-ups and technical foundations
Repertoire study (classical, exam pieces, or leisure music)
Sight-reading and aural skills
Music theory and understanding
Guidance on practice strategies
These lessons are suitable for:
Beginners of any age
Earlyāintermediate and intermediate students
Students preparing for ABRSM/Trinity exams
Learners taking lessons for enjoyment and enrichment
No prior experience is required ā just curiosity and willingness to learn.
Choose the format that works best for you:
In-person lesson at your home
In-person lesson at my studio (an upright Steinway Boston piano will be provided)
Students should have access to a piano or digital piano at home to support regular practice.
Strong technique and musical understanding
Confidence in reading, listening, and expression
Healthy practice habits
Clear goals and steady progress
A positive, encouraging learning environment
Your music books or exam scores
A notebook for practice notes
Any pieces you want to explore
If youāre a complete beginner, Iāll recommend the right materials once we begin.
