Mentorship
The Faculty of Mathematics and Science Mentorship Program allows local high school students to work with a faculty member on research. I mentored Sofia Gandola (now at Waterloo) on a Music Genre Detection system, Steffen Zylstra (now at Ottawa) on analyzing youth mental health movements on social media, and Colby Husk (now on Grade 12) on an Image Generation system using Diffusion Models.
