2005年生まれのZ世代ウクレレプレイヤー。8歳でウクレレを始め、世界チャンピオンのJazzoomCafe氏に師事。2015年の国内コンテストでMVPを受賞。翌2016年、ハワイの国際コンテスト13歳以下ソロ部門で優勝し、ジュニア世界チャンピオンに。2020年には14歳で世界最大級の音楽トレードショー『NAMM SHOW 2020』にデモ出演。2022年、日本コロムビアよりメジャーデビュー。

ジャズ、POPS、ロック、ボサノバなど多彩なジャンルを鋭いグルーヴで弾きこなし、本格的なジャズアレンジ作品もリリース。2024年に引き続き2026年も日比谷音楽祭のステージに立ち、さらにロック人気番組『Rock Fujiyama』へ出演するなど、既成概念を打ち破るアグレッシブなプレイと革新的なテクニックで、ウクレレを次世代のリード楽器へと昇華させている。

「ウクレレの魅力をより多くの方に知ってもらうこと」を自身のミッションに掲げ、従来のウクレレファンはもちろん、これまでウクレレに馴染みのなかった世代にも、その新たな魅力を発信している。

rena - Ukulele Player

Born in 2005, rena began playing the ukulele at the age of eight under the mentorship of world ukulele champion JazzoomCafe. Her early talent was recognized in 2015 when she won the MVP at a national ukulele performance contest in Japan.In 2016, she became the Junior World Ukulele Champion by winning the under-13 solo category at the 5th International Ukulele Contest held on Oahu, Hawaii.Rena has performed on major international stages, including as a ukulele demo player at NAMM Show 2020 in California, one of the world’s largest music trade shows. In 2022, she made her major debut with Nippon Columbia Records, releasing the digital single “rena – Ukulele Jazz Selection.”By 2024 and 2025, she took the stage at the Hibiya Music Festival and Hibiya Festival, captivating audiences with her dynamic performances. She has also participated in ukulele festivals across Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, and South Korea, contributing not only as a performer but also as a judge.Renowned for her versatility, rena excels in a wide range of genres—from Hawaiian to jazz, pop, and rock—establishing herself as one of the most talented young ukulele players of her generation.
