Welcome to my website! I am an assistant professor of economics at the University of Connecticut. My primary research agenda is focused on understanding the long-run dynamics of individual risk preferences.  I am interested in how risk preferences adapt to changes in risk in agents' environments from sources such as climate change and macroeconomic fluctuations, and in the ways that these preference dynamics translate into changes in risk-taking behavior. My work involves building decision-theoretic models of risk preference adaptation, and testing these models using applied micro methods, usually employing large-scale panel data. In my spare time I also work on miscellaneous policy-relevant questions, such as the effects of stay-at-home orders on the progression of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from UC San Diego in June 2020, and joined the department of Economics at the University of Connecticut in Fall 2020. You can find my CV here.
