Welcome to AirClick Remote Roku (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We attach great importance to the protection of user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the App, as well as the rights you have regarding your information.
Please read this policy carefully before downloading, installing, or using the App. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please stop using the App.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide you with stable Roku TV remote control and screen casting services, improve app performance, and display advertisements, we and our third-party service providers may collect the following types of information:
(1) Device and Network Information (Required for network remote control functionality)
Local Network Device Information: To discover and connect to your Roku TV or Roku device, the App—with your authorization—retrieves device IP addresses, device names, SSIDs, and device response information from your local Wi-Fi network. This information is processed solely on your local device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Device Identifiers and System Information: Includes device model, operating system version, network connection type (Wi-Fi/mobile network), system language, and Android Advertising ID (AAID; applicable only to adult users aged 13 and older).
(2) App Usage and Diagnostic Data
App Interaction Data: Page visit records, feature click frequency, and remote control button press logs.
Crash and Performance Data: App crash logs, performance metrics, and ANR (App Not Responding) records, used to identify program errors and optimize the product experience.
2. Third-Party SDK Services and Data Collection
The App integrates services from multiple third-party providers (including ad aggregation platforms, ad networks, and Firebase analytics/diagnostic components). These third-party SDKs may directly collect your device data and usage information using their own technologies. The third-party services integrated into this application are listed below:
1. Google Firebase (including Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: used for app data analysis, performance monitoring, and crash log collection)
2. TopOn (ad mediation platform: used for scheduling and optimizing ad delivery)
3. Google AdMob (ad network)
4. Meta Audience Network (Facebook) (ad network)
5. AppLovin (ad network)
6. Unity Ads (ad network)
7. ironSource (ad network)
8. Vungle (Liftoff) (ad network)
9. Pangle (ad network)
10. Mintegral (ad network)
11. Chartboost (ad network)
Data collected by third-party SDKs may include:
Device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID/AAID, IP address)
Device hardware configuration (screen resolution, device brand and model, system version)
Ad interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, conversion records)
Location data (limited to approximate geographic location inferred from IP address)
3. Children's Privacy Protection (Important)
This application is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older (including teenagers aged 13–17 and adults) and does not target children under the age of 13 as its primary audience.
Age Gate: To comply with the Google Play Families Policy and relevant legal regulations (such as COPPA and GDPR), this application includes an age verification mechanism.
Protective measures for children under 13: If a user indicates they are under 13 years of age, the application will:
1. Not collect any personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers (such as AAID).
2. Disable personalized/behavioral targeted advertising and display only non-personalized ads (Contextual Ads).
3. Restrict relevant third-party SDKs from collecting any tracking data regarding the child.
Parental Rights: If you are a parent or legal guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us using the details below, and we will take immediate steps to delete the relevant data. 4. Explanation of Permission Usage
To enable the core functions of the Roku remote control, this app may request the following sensitive permissions:
Local Network Access (Access Network State / Access Wi-Fi State): Used to detect whether your Android device and Roku TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE (Multicast Permission): Used to automatically discover Roku devices on the local network via SSDP/mDNS.
Vibration Control (Vibrate): Used for haptic feedback when pressing remote control buttons (users can enable or disable this in the settings).
We do not use these permissions to secretly collect users' private files, contact lists, location data, or camera data.
4. Data Security and Storage
Transmission Encryption: All data transmitted between this app and third-party SDKs is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) protocols.
No Server-Side Storage: This app does not maintain a backend database to store users' personal data; your Roku device connection information is stored only in your phone's local storage (SharedPreferences) and can be deleted at any time by clearing the app cache.
5. User Data Rights and Personalized Advertising Controls
Depending on your legal jurisdiction (such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you have the following data rights:
1. Opt-out of Personalized Advertising: You can disable personalized advertising through your Android device's settings:
*Path: Settings -> Privacy -> Ads -> Reset or Delete Advertising ID*.
2. In-App Data Clearing: You can immediately delete all local configurations stored on your device by uninstalling the app or selecting "Clear App Data" in your system settings.
3. Data Inquiry and Deletion Requests: You have the right to inquire about or request the deletion of any personal data directly processed by us (if any).
6. Updates to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality or updates to laws, regulations, and platform policies. Updated policies will be posted on this page, with the latest revision date indicated at the top. We recommend that you review this policy periodically for the latest information.
