I'm using the latest 64 bit MSRDC installer. Made an intunewin file and used the following parameters. It says it is installed succesfully on all users but there is nothing installed ever. I also tried installing in system context using ALLUSERS=1 and omitting MSIINSTALLPERUSER=1 per the documentation and that also never installs but reports success. Not sure what I can do with my detection rule. I'd like to install this in user context and turn on automatic updates for the client.

I'm trying to find a way of getting MSI codes from the ms remote desktop client. The reason is because I updated to a new version via an intune app and for about 5% of users it didn't uninstall the old version so there was 2 versions installed and it broke and caused a P1 (yay). I went onto users machines when Troubleshooting and would grab the MSI code and I have about 5 different versions so far. Now I know when SD get a call and see the remote desktop client needs an update they just updates it, which is fine but I'm trying to update the whole company to be on the same version. So I guess I'm asking if there is x way to query all devices and then output this to an excel that I add to the InTune app and uninstalls any version in the list. I rang ms for the MSI codes cause they change the versions so often (one day had 3 different versions and I didn't get all the install programs), and after 1.5 hours of explaining what I needed and why, I got told I was in the wrong dept. I hope I'm making sense, and if anyone has done this sort of thing before.

Issue

The Aero Glass remoting feature in Windows 7 lets users who are running compatible Remote Desktop Connection clients use features such as a Flip-3D, the live task bar preview, and the translucent window border in a remote desktop session when a compatible RDC 7.0 client is used. After RDP 8.0 is enabled, users cannot use the Aero Glass remoting feature.

Resolution

Administrators should not enable RDP 8.0 on remote computers that are running Windows 7 SP1 for users who must use the Aero Glass remoting feature.

First of all, my goal was to remotely access and control the desktops of other Mac systems from my MacBook.
