PRIVACY POLICY

ConnectTV Studio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides the Android TV Remote Control mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, collected, used, shared, retained, and protected when you use the App.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION THE APP MAY ACCESS

The App may request access to certain information or device functions to provide its features.

Local Network and Wi-Fi Information

• Used to discover and connect to compatible TVs and streaming devices on the same network.

• May include local IP addresses, device names, TV models, connection status, and other device-discovery information.

• This information is used only to establish and maintain remote-control, casting, or screen-mirroring connections.

Microphone

• Used only when you activate voice search or another voice-input feature.

• Microphone access requires your permission.

• The App does not continuously listen to or record audio in the background.

• Voice input may be processed by your device, TV, operating system, or an applicable speech-recognition service.

Photos and Videos

• The App may access photos or videos you select when using media-casting features.

• Selected media is used to display or stream your content on a compatible TV.

• The App does not access your media unless you initiate the feature and grant the necessary permission.

• Access may be provided through the Android system photo picker or applicable media permission, depending on your Android version.

Screen Content

• The screen-mirroring feature uses Android’s MediaProjection system.

• Android displays a system consent prompt before a screen-sharing session begins.

• Screen capture starts only after you provide permission.

• Screen content is processed during the active mirroring session so it can be transmitted to the selected device.

• We do not intentionally store or retain the content of your mirrored screen.

• You can stop screen sharing from the App or Android system controls.

Device and App Information

The App or its service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

• Device model and manufacturer

• Operating system and Android version

• App version

• Language and general region

• Advertising identifier, where permitted

• App interactions and feature usage

• Diagnostic data, crash logs, and performance information

• Approximate location inferred from an IP address

• Network and connection information

This information may be used to operate the App, fix technical issues, understand feature performance, prevent abuse, and provide or measure advertising.

2. HOW INFORMATION IS USED

Information may be used to:

• Discover and connect to compatible TVs

• Provide remote-control functions

• Enable voice input when requested

• Cast selected photos and videos

• Provide screen-mirroring sessions

• Save remote preferences and previously paired devices

• Maintain and improve App stability and performance

• Diagnose crashes and connection problems

• Respond to support requests

• Display and measure advertisements

• Protect the App against fraud, misuse, and security threats

• Comply with applicable legal requirements

3. SAVED REMOTES AND APP PREFERENCES

Information such as saved TV devices, remote themes, and App settings may be stored locally on your device. This information may be removed by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.

4. ADVERTISING AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App may use third-party services for advertising, analytics, diagnostics, and distribution. Depending on the services included in the App, these providers may collect or process device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising data, App interactions, diagnostic information, and approximate location.

Third-party services may include:

• Google Play Services

• Google AdMob

• Google Analytics for Firebase

• Firebase Crashlytics

Advertising providers may use device information to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure advertisements where permitted. You can manage advertising privacy options through your device settings and any consent options presented in the App.

The exact information collected by third-party SDKs depends on the App version, device settings, consent choices, applicable law, and SDK configuration.

5. INFORMATION SHARING

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared or processed in the following circumstances:

• With service providers that support advertising, analytics, diagnostics, hosting, security, or App functionality

• When necessary to provide a feature requested by you, such as communicating with a selected TV

• When required by law, regulation, court order, or another valid legal process

• When necessary to protect users, enforce our rights, investigate fraud, or address security concerns

• As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards

Third-party providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Locally stored preferences and paired-device information remain on your device until you delete the App data or uninstall the App.

Screen content and selected media are processed only as necessary to provide casting or mirroring functionality and are not intentionally retained by us after the session ends.

Information processed by advertising, analytics, or diagnostic providers may be retained according to their respective policies and legal obligations.

If you contact us for support, we may retain your message and related information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal requirements.

We may need to retain limited information when required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, or needed for security and fraud-prevention purposes.

7. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Network transmissions may use security mechanisms supported by the connected device and protocol.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS

You can control the App’s access through Android settings. You may:

• Allow or deny microphone access

• Select which photos or videos the App can access

• Approve or reject each screen-sharing request

• Stop an active mirroring session

• Reset or delete saved remote information

• Manage advertising privacy settings

• Clear the App’s storage

• Uninstall the App

Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working but should not affect features that do not require that permission.

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING

Third-party service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, information will be processed using applicable legal safeguards.

11. THIRD-PARTY DEVICES AND CONTENT

The App communicates with compatible televisions and other devices selected by the user. We do not control the privacy practices, security, software, content, or services provided by TV manufacturers, operating-system providers, streaming services, or other third parties.

12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be published with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
