About me
I am a 5th-year PhD student in Economics at the University of Bern and the Study Center Gerzensee. I spent a semester each at the University of California, Irvine, in 2023, the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2024, and the Bank of Canada in 2025. My research focuses on monetary theory, monetary policy, blockchain economics, financial stability, and macroeconomics. I strive to answer fundamental questions and contribute to current policy discussions. Besides research, I am an avid mountaineer, climber, and skier.
