Artur Karachev Preduzetnik Beograd ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Remindy: AI Birthday Wishes mobile application ("the App").
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Remindy: AI Birthday Wishes is designed with privacy as a core principle. All user data — including friend profiles, birthday dates, and wish history — is stored locally on your device.
The App includes an optional AI wish generation feature that is available only to users outside the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA). This feature uses a lightweight backend hosted in the United States that acts solely as a proxy to an external AI service. The backend does not store, log, or retain any user data,
friend profiles, or generated content.
For users located in the EU/EEA, the App functions fully as a birthday reminder and profile manager without AI wish generation. No data is transmitted to any external server.
Your privacy matters to us, and we design the App to work without requiring personal information whenever possible.
The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device:
Friend names and birthday dates
Previous birthday wishes and wish history
Reminder settings and notification preferences
For EU/EEA users, this data never leaves your device. For users outside the EU/EEA who use the AI wish generation feature, limited data is temporarily transmitted as described in Section 3.
The App may collect limited, aggregated usage information to understand how the App is used and to improve functionality, performance, and user experience. This information may include general interaction patterns, feature usage, screen flows, and basic usage metrics. The data is collected in a way that does not directly identify individual users and is used solely for internal analytics and product improvement purposes.
Basic technical information may be collected automatically, including:
Device model and operating system version
App version
Language and region settings
Anonymous app instance identifiers provided by analytics services, used only to understand general app usage and performance
These identifiers are not used for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
The App may request permission to send notifications in order to deliver birthday reminders.
Permissions are requested only to enable core functionality and are not used for data collection beyond what is necessary for the App to function.
The AI wish generation feature is available only to users located outside the EU/EEA.
When you request AI-generated birthday wishes, the App sends limited information — such as the friend's name and context from previous wishes — to a backend proxy hosted in the United States, which forwards it to an external AI service also hosted in the United States.
You acknowledge and agree that:
The backend acts only as a stateless proxy and does not store, log, or retain any data
The external AI service processes the information solely to generate birthday wishes
We do not control how the external AI service handles data internally; however, we select services that follow responsible data practices
No friend profiles, wish history, or user data is persistently stored on any server
This feature is disabled for users in the EU/EEA to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. No personal data from EU/EEA users is transmitted to any server.
We do not collect or store:
Email addresses, phone numbers, or contact details
User accounts or authentication data
Photos, videos, or media files
Precise location data
Advertising identifiers such as IDFA
Cross-app or cross-website tracking data
We do not attempt to infer personal traits, behavior, or identity from usage data
If the App experiences errors or crashes, limited technical data may be collected automatically through system provided or third party diagnostic services. This may include:
Device type and operating system version
App version
Time and context of the error
Technical crash information
This information is used solely to improve stability, reliability, and performance.
The App uses trusted third-party services for analytics and diagnostics. For users outside the EU/EEA, the App additionally uses third-party services for AI wish generation. These services process limited technical and usage information on our behalf and are contractually obligated to handle data securely and only for the intended purpose.
We do not sell user data and do not use analytics data for advertising or marketing purposes.
The App itself does not use cookies.
Third party services used by the App may rely on technologies similar to cookies or local storage as part of their operation for analytics or diagnostics.
We take reasonable measures to protect the App and any information involved in its operation. We aim to minimize data collection and limit access to what is strictly necessary for the App to function and improve.
For users outside the EU/EEA, data transmitted during AI wish generation is sent over encrypted connections. However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
All user data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual friend profiles or all data at any time through the App.
If the App is deleted from your device, all locally stored data is permanently removed. No data remains on any server, as the backend does not persist user information.
If you are located in the EU or EEA, the following applies to you:
Locally stored data: Processing is based on the performance of the App's core functionality (managing birthday reminders) and your consent to use the App.
Analytics and diagnostics: Processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the App's stability performance, and user experience. This data is anonymized and does not identify you personally.
AI wish generation: This feature is not available to EU/EEA users. No personal data is transmitted to external servers.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
Right of access — You may request confirmation of whether your data is being processed and obtain a copy of it. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you already have full access.
Right to rectification — You may correct inaccurate data at any time by editing friend profiles within the App.
Right to erasure — You may delete any or all data at any time through the App, or by deleting the App from your device.
Right to restriction of processing — You may limit processing by adjusting App settings or disabling features such as notifications.
Right to data portability — Since all data is stored locally, you control it entirely on your device.
Right to object — You may object to analytics data collection by contacting us at the email address below.
For EU/EEA users, no personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA. The AI wish generation feature, which involves servers located in the United States, is not available to users in the EU/EEA.
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
The App is suitable for a general audience and may be used by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not include user accounts, social features, behavioral advertising, or targeted marketing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will become effective immediately upon publication.
Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
