Remind Me Now sends you reminders when you’re near locations you’ve saved. To do this, the app uses your device’s location around those saved locations.

We do not collect or upload any personal data. Everything stays on your phone.

What data is used (and why)

Location (precise & coarse)

Used to:

Create geofences around your saved locations
Trigger reminders when you’re nearby

Foreground & background access

Your device’s location may be accessed in the background so reminders can trigger even if the app is closed.

Notes you type for each location

Stored locally on your device
Used only to display notification content when you arrive at a saved location

Network requests

When you search for locations, your device sends queries directly to third-party location services (e.g., Google Places) to return nearby results.

We do not receive or store:

Your Google account data
Your search queries
Any returned results

We do not operate servers and we do not proxy or log your requests.

How we use data

We use data only to:

Set up and trigger reminders near your saved locations
Search and display nearby results when you choose to add a new location

We do not use data for:

Advertising
Analytics
Tracking
Profiling

No data sharing or selling

We do not:

Share personal data with any third parties
Sell any data
Transfer user information for advertising or analytics

All processing happens on your device only.

Storage & retention

Your saved locations and notes are stored locally on your device.
Your location is used temporarily to evaluate geofences.
We do not keep historical location logs.
No data is stored on external servers.

Your choices

You can:

Deny or revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings
Disable background location (reminders may not trigger if the app is closed)
Delete saved locations and notes inside the app

There is no user account and no cloud data to delete.

Security

All data stays on your device and is protected by:

The Android operating system
Permission controls
Application sandboxing

We do not transmit or store your data on servers.

Children’s privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13.
If you believe a child has used the app and created local data, contact us and we will provide guidance on deleting that data and revoking permissions.

International rights (GDPR / CCPA)

We do not maintain accounts, cloud services, or user profiles.
Most GDPR/CCPA rights apply to data stored by a service provider; since we do not store data externally, your data exists only on your device.

To perform this core function, the app uses your device’s foreground and background location, depending on your permission settings.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Remind Me Now.
The app is not intended for children.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the app only for lawful, personal purposes
Provide accurate information when saving locations and notes
Manage your own device settings (permissions, notifications, battery optimizations, etc.)
Understand that disabling background location may prevent reminders from triggering

You are responsible for how you use the app and the reminders you create.

5. Permissions

Remind Me Now may request:

Precise location (to create and trigger location-based reminders)
Background location (to deliver reminders when the app is closed)
Notification permission (to display reminders)
Network access (to search for locations through external providers such as Google Places)

You may revoke permissions at any time in your device’s settings, but some app features may stop working.

Perfect GPS accuracy
That reminders will always trigger (due to device settings, permissions, battery restrictions, or OS behavior)
24/7 availability of external search services

You use the app at your own discretion.

9. Updates and Changes

We may update the app or these Terms from time to time.
Your continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
Because no accounts or cloud data exist, uninstalling the app removes your local data.
