Remind‑Bot is a free Chrome extension built by Jason Xie. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data. Reminder data is stored locally in the user's browser.
No personal information. The extension stores only the reminder data you enter: title, date/time, and completion status. This is saved locally using chrome.storage.local and does not leave your device.
Reminder data is used solely to provide the core functionality: scheduling alarms and showing notifications at the time you choose.
No web browsing activity, page content, keystrokes, mouse events, or network traffic.
No analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking.
No cookies and no server-side logs are created by the extension.
We do not share user data with third parties. Data remains on your device. We would only disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, to protect against fraud/abuse, or with your explicit consent (e.g., in the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition).
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not allow human access to your reminder data. All processing occurs locally within the extension.
storage – save reminders locally so they persist after closing Chrome.
alarms – schedule timers that trigger at the selected time, even if the popup is closed.
notifications – display a desktop notification when a reminder is due.
Reminder data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove all data by using the extension’s Clear option or by uninstalling the extension, which removes its chrome.storage.local data.
Remind‑Bot is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the extension evolves. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
