Signals and Systems
Signals and Systems
Course Objective
Complex numbers: Learn the concept and arithmetic of complex numbers and apply them to analyze signal frequency characteristics.
Fundamental signal and system concepts: Understand various types of signals (continuous-time, discrete-time, periodic, aperiodic) and their mathematical representations.
Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) systems: Grasp the concept and properties of LTI systems and analyze their behavior using tools like convolution and impulse response.
Fourier analysis: Learn Fourier series and Fourier transforms to analyze signals and systems in the frequency domain. This includes understanding frequency components of signals and interpreting frequency responses of systems.
By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the foundational knowledge needed to analyze and design signals and systems in various engineering fields, such as communications, control, and signal processing.
