Meet the Band
Meet the Band
Since its inception, August 16, 1975, Remember When has had the pleasure of performing with The 5 Satins, The Coasters, The Marvellettes, The Duprees, The Shirells, Jay and the Americans, Dion and the Belmonts, Gary U.S. Bonds, Mary Wilson and more.
Remember When was the driving force behind the Benefit for Jackie Wilson. In addition, as part of our community dedication, we have donated our time to many charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Benefit for the Blind and most recently Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Remember When is dedicated to keeping the Fabulous 50's and Glorious 60'S alive by bringing our live performances of great harmonies, versatility and song arrangements.
Joe, now retired, is one of the founding members of Remember When. He and a very close friend, Joe Miller, formed the band on August 16, 1975. Much to the dismay of Joe B’s wife, as the band formation happened at their wedding. Somewhere between the Best Man Toast and the cutting of the cake, Remember When was born. Joe can be heard on rhythm guitar as well as background and lead vocals.
Randy owns and operates Rutgers Construction, a construction and re-modeling company, serving New Jersey for the past 40 plus years . Randy is also an original member of Remember When. In his many years spent in the band, he has played bass and rhythm guitars and is now the guy keeping the beat on the drums. He can also be heard on lead and background vocals.
Joe is now retired after spending 32 years with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Joe joined the band in 1978. You can hear Joe throwing out a couple of “OLD” jokes during performances. Don’t encourage him by laughing! Joe can be seen playing bass guitar, as well as singing lead and background vocals. By the way, Joe is the best-looking member of Remember When, just ask him he will tell you!
George has been selling commercial insurance for the past 17 years. In addition, he continues to work in a hair salon cutting and styling his customers for the past 45 years. George also is not an original member, but like Joe he joined the band in the early years. George can be heard playing rhythm and lead guitar, and acoustic guitar for those special songs.
Jimmy Kosty is also a founding member of Remember When. Over the past 50 years, he also played with Satin and Gold before merging Satin and Gold with Remember When. Jimmy can be heard on lead vocals, background harmonies and playing lead guitar. Jimmy is now also retired and keeps himself busy as President of Rolling Thunder and serving as our musical director.
