Hamburg Wreath Laying and Worship: July 8
The wreath laying ceremony will be held at 6 pm at the 5th Street Bridge or Freedom Bridge, on the South Carolina side. There are parking spots, but buses also depart from First Providence at 5:30 pm (315 Barton Street). This will be followed by a worship service at First Providence at 7:30 pm.
Hamburg Commemoration and Concerts: July 11
Please join us for our annual commemoration of the Hamburg Massacre. 2026 will mark 150 years since the event. The Commemoration Event on Saturday, July 11 begins at 10 am and will be free. We are so excited that our keynote speaker will be U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn!
Our evening concert will feature four musical groups and will cost $20 at 6 pm. RSVP to both the free and paid elements of Saturday's commemoration here.

Hamburg Benefit Concert with the Les Reagan Singers, July 24
Please join us for a night with the Les Reagan Singers as they perform their "Songs for the Soul" program to benefit the Hamburg-Carrsville African American Heritage District and the annual commemoration of the Hamburg Massacre. The concert will be at 7 pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841.
Parking for the event begins at 6 pm.
