When asked to suggest music for Charlie's Celebration of Life event, his siblings came forward with memories of songs and artists as diverse as his interests, some of which I've assembled into a playlist for all to enjoy. Here are some of their recollections:
Mary Kinley:
"Anything from The Sound of Music; we sang it ALL the time."
Ginger Blubaugh:
"He loved the band Yes* when he lived on Euclid Heights Blvd."
Woody Blue:
"When Charlie came back from the military, he had a huge reel to reel tape deck in his bedroom. We weren't really allowed to go into anyone else's bedroom without their permission, but that didn't matter. I would go in and look at some of the music he had put out. Velvet Underground,, the Band, Bob Dylan, and Frank Zappa was the kind of music he listened to."
*Note: I have not actually included any Yes on this playlist because nobody wants to listen to a bloated 20-minute prog rock jam. Sorry, Dad.
