Remembering The Old Speedways!!
On this page...ARRA wishes to pay homage to those old fairgrounds and backwoods bullrings that signaled the beginning of the sport of auto racing! They were sometimes popular and sometimes they were the local Friday night hangout and a secret a mere twenty miles away, but they all had something in common! They all held the dreams and aspirations of young kids in the area and some even served as the springboard to stardom that those same young kids needed to get to fame. A scouring of the immense YouTube universe revealed quite a number of available "looks back" at the tracks that long ago stopped presenting the sport and sat in decay until either bulldozed under...or had nature take back what was once hers in the first place!
