SATOSHI (HANGOVER)

Hugely influenced by the era of warehouse rave movement in USA around late 90's to early 00's, Satoshi was instantly hooked on the art of DJing. Started to play out regularly as a house DJ across southeast states region and years later found his passion for drum and bass. Played at numerous major events along with scene's most respected drum and bass artists in USA such as Dieselboy, Odi, Dara, Danny The Wildchild and others. After returning to Japan, became part of the Hangover crew based in Tokyo. Hangover has been running nights in Tokyo for more than 14 years now and brought many of top-notch drum and bass artists to introduce fresh new sounds and raw vibes to the local scene. Known for his b-boy influenced vibes and razor-sharp mixing, Satoshi brings the funk to the floor.

15歳で単身渡米。スケボーやブレイクダンスのストリートカルチャーに日々没頭する中、18歳の時に当時全盛期だったレイブカルチャーに出会う。現地で頻繁に開催されていたウエアハウスでのレイブイベントに通いながらアンダーグラウンドエレクトロニックミュージックを肌で体感。進化し続けるアンダーグラウンドサウンドとレイブムーブメントに触発されテネシー州を拠点にDJ活動を始める。シカゴハウスから影響を受け、ハウスDJとして様々なレイブイベントにてプレイする。その後、アメリカのドラムンベースアーティストのプレイとバイブスを現場で体感し、2000年にドラムンベースDJに完全転身。アメリカの現地シーンをリードするトップアーティスト達と共演しながらDJスキルに磨きをかける。現在は海外の新鋭アーティストを積極的に招聘しているHANGOVERのメンバーとして14年以上に渡り東京ドラムンベースシーンで活躍している。玄人好みの選曲とDJスタイルで活動の幅を拡げている。
