This presentation combines my research into an interactive format exploring the religious influences on the Crusades. Use the quiz to test your knowledge, view the timeline of religious milestones, and explore how beliefs shaped the Crusader movement
For my final presentation, I chose to use an interactive Google Site that includes a quiz and a TimelineJS timeline to help engage viewers with my research topic: The Religious Influences on the Crusades (1096–1291). I felt this format was more dynamic than a traditional research paper and allowed me to creatively organize and display the information I gathered.
The timeline helps show how religious motivations developed and shifted across different Crusades and time periods.
The quiz allows visitors to test their knowledge and reflect on what they’ve learned after exploring the site.
Each section of the website breaks down key areas like papal authority, religious motivations, and the Crusades' impact.
By using this method, I was able to present a complete and organized narrative while also keeping the content engaging and educational.

Final Thoughts
Through this project, I explored how deeply religion influenced the Crusades — not just as a justification for war, but as a driving force that shaped decisions, actions, and long-term consequences. From papal authority and spiritual motivations to the Crusades’ impact on Christian-Muslim relations and European culture, religion was central to both the beginning and the legacy of these campaigns.
This interactive website allowed me to organize my research clearly and share it in a way that is informative, engaging, and easy to explore. I hope that by using quizzes, timelines, and visuals, I was able to make this complex topic more understandable and thought-provoking for others.
