This policy covers the Chrome extension Multi-language Release Notes Copier for Apple App Store Connect. It is an independent developer tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Google.
Information used
The extension reads the App Store Connect version URLs and interface-language preference you choose, locale names, Promotional Text, What's New, and the page controls needed to preview and save those fields. It also processes JSON backups you choose to import and proposed listing text you enter in the workspace. It inspects open tab URLs locally to suggest a version page and manage its own workspace and helper tabs.
Purpose and storage
This information is used only to compare, edit, copy, verify, and optionally back up your listing text. Source and target URLs and your interface-language preference are saved in Chrome local extension storage. Listing text, imported backups, proposed edits, and progress remain in memory while the workspace is open. A JSON or text backup is written to the destination you select only when you choose a download action.
Site access
The workspace requests optional access to appstoreconnect.apple.com through Chrome when you choose Connect or Preview. It uses the optional scripting permission to run its packaged adapter only on your selected iOS version pages. You can decline the request or remove site access in Chrome's extension settings. Previewing and copying require this access and your separate Apple sign-in. No access to other websites is requested.
When you choose to download a backup, the extension separately requests Chrome's optional downloads permission to save the file and confirm completion or interruption. It checks only download IDs started by the current workspace and does not use unrelated download history. Importing a backup uses the file you explicitly select; it does not grant general access to your files.
Sharing and credentials
The extension does not send data to the publisher, analytics providers, or advertising services. When you choose Save, it saves your reviewed listing text to Apple through the signed-in App Store Connect page. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's policies. The extension does not read or store your Apple password, API keys, or authentication cookies, and uses no remotely hosted executable code.
We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s copying and backup features, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Retention and deletion
Close the workspace to discard its in-memory preview and progress. Remove the extension or clear its extension storage to delete remembered URLs and the interface-language preference. Downloaded backups remain on your device until you delete them. Removing the extension does not reverse text already saved to App Store Connect.
Contact and changes
Use the publisher contact above for privacy questions. This policy will be updated if the extension's data practices change.
This policy website
This privacy-policy page is hosted on Google Sites. Google may process information needed to serve this website under Google’s own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. This hosting is separate from the extension; the extension has no publisher-operated backend or analytics.
Interface translations
Interface translations are included in the extension package and processed locally. The extension remembers your chosen interface language in local extension storage. It does not send release notes or other content to Google Translate or another translation service. Interface language selection does not translate or modify the listing text.
