In our research, we found that everyday, about 23 billion text messages are sent worldwide. People use texting for all sorts of relationships, including personal, professional, and groups, but there is no tool to measure the quality and health of those relationships over time.
On top of this, in our survey, we found that 81% of respondents felt that online communication could be easily misinterpreted, which our interviewees agreed with. Through all of this need-finding, we confirmed our hypothesis that something like Relatio is needed to analyze and provide feedback about the health of the relationships. Below are some highlights of the most important insights we collected from need finding:
About 56% of respondents preferred texting over other forms of electronic communication such as calls and emails.
From our findings, 96.9% of respondents reported the reason for text messaging is its convenience.
About 69% of respondents believed texting improve their existing relationships. We can see that message texting has a potential correlation with relationship metrics.
81% of respondents felt that online communication could be easily misinterpreted, which our interviewees agreed with.
