Reina is a new character introduced in Tekken 8. She’s a young Japanese student who is connected to the Mishima family, which is central to the Tekken storyline. She attended the Mishima Polytechnical School alongside characters like Jin Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu. Reina has a mysterious and confident personality, often challenging major figures such as Jin and Kazuya Mishima. Like the other members of the Mishima family, Reina is also a "Devil Gene" carrier.

In terms of gameplay, Reina uses a hybrid fighting style that combines Mishima-style Karate (inspired by Heihachi Mishima’s techniques) and Taido, a more fluid, acrobatic martial art. This unique combination makes her adaptable but challenging to master, with moves that require skillful execution. Players will find her to be highly versatile, with a mix of stances and powerful attacks that showcase her Mishima heritage and her own unorthodox approaches
