Sight Words

Knowing our sight words is an extremly important part of mastering the Kindergarten Standards. Sight words will help your child learn to read, write and be "First Grade Ready!"

Your child has mastered their sight words IF the sight word list can be read:

• INSTANTLY

• In RANDOM order

• Quickly with NO long pauses

• WITHOUT sounding out

Sight words are NOT meant to be sounded out. They are to be recognized immediately by SIGHT.
