Rehana is a Software Development Engineer at Intel Corporation. She got her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. She is broadly interested in Cloud Computing and Heterogeneous Real-Time Systems. Her main research focus is on designing time sensitive resource provisioning and allocation schemes for cloud considering single and/or multiple deadlines, execution options, resource scarcity etc to gain maximum throughput and profit. Her other research interests are Machine Learning, Parallel Computing and approximation Algorithms. She is also interested in compiler design and optimization techniques.
She has industrial experiences in cloud computing and virtualization, LLVM compiler and optimizations, reconfigurable processors, image processing and networking. She has worked as a Software Engineering Intern in Huawei Technologies R&D Center and as a Software Engineer in Samsung R&D Center in the past.
She serves as a reviewer for The Journal of Systems Architecture (JSA), Cluster Computing (CLUS), IEEE Transactions on Parallel & Distributed Systems (TPDS), IEEE Access; scholarship reviewer for Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) and Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference.
