Bodily being.
The sitting bones receive weight.
The feet touch the floor.
The pelvis settles
as the living base of the body.
The spine grows out of this bearing.
The head is a continuation of the axis.
The hands belong to the trunk
as quiet weight,
with nothing to show.
The body knows
where it is.
It knows the ground.
It knows the space.
It knows the eyes.
It knows the breath.
It knows the possibility of moving
and of ending at any time.
The form is complete.
Breath pulses.
It comes.
It goes.
It continues.
It does not need to be deeper.
It does not need to be better.
It is enough
that it is alive.
Attention spreads
through the whole body
and across the entire surface
of the sitting figure.
Pelvis.
Belly.
Back.
Chest.
Neck.
Hands.
Eyes.
Space.
Everything belongs
to one field.
The body is exactly
as it is.
Tone.
Weight.
Breath.
Axis.
Contact with the ground.
This is the beginning.
When effort appears,
the form becomes simpler.
Again, sitting.
Again, weight.
Again, feet.
Again, space.
Again, the body
that knows
where it is.
And then there is staying.
In full bodily presence.
In full orientation.
In presence.
Sometimes, deep in the pelvis,
a subtle movement appears.
At first almost invisible.
More a shift of weight
than a gesture.
More an inner wave
than a movement.
The pelvis begins to respond
from within.
The wave comes.
Disappears.
Returns.
Slows down.
The body stays with it.
It bears it through the pelvis.
It bears it through the axis.
It bears it through the back.
It bears it through the chest.
It bears it through the hands.
Aliveness begins to show itself
by itself.
It does not need to be driven.
It does not need to be enlarged.
It does not need to be confirmed.
It has a way to move.
The pelvis is the spring.
The axis is the path.
The back space of the heart
gathers the rhythm into a whole.
The hands may respond gently.
The trunk may slowly reorganize.
The back may bear more space.
The head remains part of the body.
Movement remains in sitting.
Sitting remains in movement.
Everything remains in contact.
Sometimes the wave leaves.
Sometimes it does not come.
The body remains.
Sitting.
Axis.
Earth.
Space.
Breath.
At the end,
the body settles again.
The eyes look around.
The hands are hands.
The floor is the floor.
The room is the room.
Aliveness does not need to show
that it is alive.
