Tournament Requirements
All teams must play 4 games to be considered for the Regional Tournament. If you are interest in participating in the tournament please email your interest and schedules to the Regional Coordinators via email to region6.ncs.soccer@gmail.com by Friday, September 19, 2025.
All official game results must be submitted no more than a week after the competition has been played. If you participated in a tournament please make sure you include all games.
Teams must submit their results each Monday by 5pm to be considered for that weeks weekly rankings.
Official games are played with regulation time and certified officials against another university. Friendlies and inter-squad scrimmages do not count as official games.

Individual Player forms are due prior to checking in at the host site on Friday afternoon. Team forms are due electronically to region6.ncs.soccer@gmail.com by Wednesday at 11pm PDT the week of your respective tournament. Links can be found to download team forms under Forms & Paperwork

Rules
Eligibility & Rosters
All teams must certify their roster with their Club Sports Director. No Certification by your Club Sports Director means no participation. A final roster certification will be performed by tournament staff as it relates to NIRSA Player Eligibility for player with NCAA experience and/or 4+ years of collegiate participation.
If the answer to any of the questions below is YES, the player is INELIGIBLE to compete in the 2024 NIRSA National Soccer Championships and the 2024 NIRSA Regional Soccer Tournaments:
○Were you listed on a 2-yr or 4-yr college varsity squad list for over 3 weeks (21 days) from August 1, 2025, to the present time?
○For any player on a varsity squad list for over 3 years + 3 weeks. Was the last season you played 2024-2025?
○Are you an undergraduate and enrolled in less than 1/2 of Full-time enrollment status?
○Are you a graduate student taking less than 6 credit hours?
○Will this current academic year be your 7th combined year of participation in NIRSA Championship and/or listing on a 2-yr or 4-yr college varsity squad list?
○Have you received prize money for participation in a soccer tournament that exceeded your participation expenses?
At NIRSA Soccer Championships (Regional or National) there is a limit of three former varsity players per team. A former varsity player is defined as a player who has been on a 2-yr or 4-yr college varsity squad list for more than 1 year.
Player Check - In
At least fifteen minutes prior to the start of each scheduled game, the Field Marshal will check the teams in for play. Each player must have a physical government or university photo ID that must match to the player on the team's roster. Digital IDs will be allowed for check-in if it has a student photo. A team who fails to properly check in with the Field Marshall will forfeit that game.
Determining Winners
Teams will be awarded points on the following basis
Three (3) points for each win
One (1) point for each tie
Zero (0) points for each loss
In the event of a tie in points at the end of pool play, the team to advance will be determined as follows
The winner in head to head competition
High point differential (goals scored minus goals allowed) - max of 5 per match
Most goals for
Fewest goals against
Most total wins
Most shutouts
If a tie shill exists after steps 1-6, NCAA penalty kick procedures will be taken thirty (30) minutes following the final match on Saturday evening to determine who moves on to bracket play.
If a three-way tie exists within the bracket after steps 1-6, a three way coin flip will be conducted. The teams that tie in the coin lip with compete in NCAA penalty kick to eliminate one team prior to proceeding to NCAA penalty kicks with the third team. The coin flip and time of the NCAA penalty kicks will be determined at the fields.

Weather Information
The regional soccer tournament may be altered and or canceled in the event of inclement weather or poor field conditions. Games may be shortened, postponed, or canceled. In the event of a tournament cancellation, bids will be awarded based upon the regional rankings.
