Travel
Flying. To come to Regina (Saskatchewan), a common way is to fly to the Regina International Airport (YQR). A cab ride from the airport to the University of Regina takes about 20 minutes and costs around $20-25.
Driving. Depending where you're coming from, driving could also be an option, e.g., from Saskatoon, Brandon, Winnipeg, Calgary, or Edmonton.
Lodging
Campus lodging. We have reserved a block of rooms for participants at the campus residences, which offer a convenient, affordable option. You can find more details about campus accommodations here. The available room types are:
Private dorm.
Apartment, shared with other Summer School participants.
The price per person is the same for both types, around $78 CAD plus tax (11%) per night.
To make a reservation, you can email Hospitality.Services@uregina.ca. Mention that you are attending the "Summer School on Homotopy Colimits".
Note: If you are offered lodging as part of travel funding, you should still contact Hospitality Services in order to confirm your room type and travel dates. Mention that you're receiving travel support, and we'll take care of the payment directly.
Hotels. Alternately, there are a few hotels on Albert Street close to Parliament Avenue, a 25-30 walk from campus.
Fairfield by Marriott, 3915 Albert St
Royal Hotel, 4025 Albert St
The Atlas Hotel, 4177 Albert St
The bus #4 also runs from that intersection to campus; the campus stop is "Riddell Centre".

Just across Wascana Parkway, there is a strip mall called the Kramer Corner (1101 Kramer Blvd), with a few restaurants. While there is no grocery store around campus, there is a convenience store (Circle K) at the Kramer Corner. There's also the excellent coffee shop Stone's Throw, which is closed on Mondays.
