Greetings,
My name is Mr. Babak Gandjian. As of August 2021, I am a science teacher at Bayside H.S. I currently teach Regents Chemistry and Regents Physics. I strive to make connections with my students inside and outside the classroom, and relate the content that I am teaching to real-life situations. I love observing the world through the lens of science.
Biography:
I graduated from CUNY Queens College with a B.A. in Biochemistry May 2015. Afterwards, I started working as an Adjunct Lecturer for the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at CUNY Queens College, where I continue to work part-time. In January 2017, at the recommendation of the chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at CUNY Queens College, I started studying Adolescent Education at CUNY Queens College with a full scholarship granted through NOYCE SciTech, earning my NYS Teaching License in May 2018, and my M.A.T. degree in May 2019.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my extended family and reading books. I also enjoy playing chess and basketball to stay fit mentally and physically.
