Leading up to that event was a work of the Lord in the lives of Kim Stavrinou and Kellie Adams.  Over a cuppa, late in 2022, Kim and Kellie were both expressing a need to be lifted up and encouraged through the kind of homeschool conferences available in the US.  And though both felt ill-equipped for the job, together they set about organising the first Refresh Rediscover Rejoice Christian Homeschool Conference in July 2023.
On that steep learning curve they made mistakes and learned a lot, but despite the hard work they were encouraged and lifted up and thrilled to have been able to share the moment with other homeschooling mums.

Spurred on by the success of the first conference, and at the encouragement of others, Kim and Kellie planned a 2nd conference in 2024. Then Karine Burgess joined the organising team and Kirsten Lavender joined the team as conference worship leader, along with some wonderful behind the scenes helpers without whom the conferences could not have happened.

The first conferences featured overseas homeschool speakers who kindly gave their time to pre-record a video message for the conference.  Gradually though, a number of wonderful speakers have graciously and generously given of their time and their experience to speak at the conferences in person, inspiring and revitalising the mums that have attended.
