My name is Shanice Martin also know as Shan Gogh. I am a photographer based in Orlando, Florida, born and raise in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. My work centers around the everyday person, including Black joy and community, highlighting intimate spaces of what goes on within a household. I work primarily in digital photography to capture wide cinematic emotion and experiences. A lot of my work is influenced by Deana Lawson and painters I studied in my college career for example Vincent Van Gogh and Edward Hopper.
My work has been shown in local galleries within Central Florida at Bellows Film Lab through (Re)Frame UNTITLED and the CityArts Gallery in their Black and White exhibit which occurs every third Thursday. This is my passion and I plan to continue in showing my work for the world to see.
