History of REFLECT

REFLECT sprang from the REFRESH retreat group, a weekend experience for 21-35-year-old singles that started in the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan, for many years (previously under the name CHOICE). It was created to provide young adults a safe and supportive environment to share their thoughts, feelings, struggles, and joys, and realize the ways in which they belong to others. In that same spirit, in 2004, a small group of REFRESH team members and attendees came together to create REFLECT.

The REFLECT retreat is designed to address the unique issues and challenges that older singles (mid-30s to 50s) face. The weekend is planned by a group of volunteers with much prayer and thought. Team leaders are past REFLECT participants who grew from their retreat experience, and want to share the opportunity with others.
