Audio and Voice Data: When you use the voice-to-text feature, the App accesses your device’s microphone. Depending on your device and settings, audio may be processed to convert speech into text. We do not store raw audio files on our servers; we only store the resulting text transcripts as part of your journal entries.
Non-Personal Data: General usage information such as session duration and app interactions.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
We collect this information to:
Provide and improve the functionality of the App, including voice-to-text transcription.
Securely store your journal entries for long-term access.
Enhance user experience and app performance.
3. Data Storage and Sharing
Your data is securely stored using cloud-based storage within the Reflect app ecosystem, specifically in our Firebase Firestore database.
Transcription Processing: Speech-to-text processing may be handled by Apple’s on-device speech recognition or through secure third-party APIs. This data is used solely for transcription and is not shared for marketing or advertising purposes.
We do not share, sell, or distribute your personal or non-personal data outside of this ecosystem.
4. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children. If we become aware that data has been collected from a child, it will be promptly deleted.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. All data transmitted between the App and our database is encrypted.
