Kittenpuppy Guide to Peace

Upgrade Your Troops:

• Upgrading troops is the most important thing! It takes way longer to research all of the lab upgrades than everything else in your base. Always keep the lab working!
• Upgrade troops you use in war, and troops you use in farming first.

Farm:

• Option 1: BArch (Barbarians and Archers), sometimes with a Giant thrown in.
  • You are looking for dead bases. Bases that have a lot of money, but the storage buildings look empty. Ideally with collectors that are on the outside of the base and easy to get to.
    • If you don't see any, you need to drop trophies! Think like 1000 or less.
  • Throw down Barbarians and Archers to loot the easy collectors. When you have all the low hanging fruit, just surrender.
  • Also pay attention to unguarded Town Halls. If a base is alive (the storages have money in them) but an unguarded Town Hall, you can quickly kill the Town Hall with a handful of troops / heroes for a small but decent chunk of cash.

    • Note: that guy goes a lil ham and drops way more troops than needed. Only drop what's needed so you're ready to attack the next base sooner!

• Option 2: Goblin Knife
  • You're looking for bases with full Dark Elixir storage and not too many walls in between.
  • Use some giants for tanking, wall breakers and jump spells to deal with the walls, and let your goblins go to town on the storage!
  • Remember, the path to riches is littered with trophies, don't worry about dropping them!

• Option 3: BArch/Knife Hybrid

• Cool Tip:
  • You can tell if collectors have loot in them visually!
    • Gold Mines have a box next to the mine cart
    • Elixir Collectors fill up the purple core
    • Dark Elixir Drills fill up a box at the top of the drill

Upgrade Your Base:

• This text here is the quick and dirty, easy and chill kitten/puppy version of upgrade priority. The links at the end will show a serious-business, absolutely war optimized version of upgrade priority. Use whichever one suits you better, or just do whatev, kitten/puppy blaze it!

• Primary Upgrades:
  • Lab! #1 (and Troop/Spell research)
    • Prioritize Archers, Barbarians, Hogs, Wizards, Golems, Balloons, Dragons, Heal, Lightning, Rage, Poison, Lava Hounds
    • After that, you can do Wall Breakers, Giants, Goblins, Healers, Minions, Valkyries, Witches, Haste, Baby Dragons
    • Lowest priority is Freeze and Skeleton spell
    • Feel free to skip all PEKKA upgrades, unless you really like using PEKKAs
  • Army Camps, Clan Castle, Barracks and Spell Factories
• Secondary Upgrades:
  • Storages and Collectors
  • Heroes and Traps
    • Always prioritize the Archer Queen, she is much more important than the King
  • Air Defenses, Sweepers, and Teslas
• Lowest Priority:
  • Walls
  • Point Defenses (cannons, archer towers, etc), except X-Bow!
  • AoE Defenses last (first Wizard Tower, then Bomb Tower, then Mortar), except Inferno Tower
  • I even recommend keeping Mortars at lv 6 and Bomb Tower at lv 2 permanently until you make the decision to move to TH10, only then they should be upgraded.
• Absolutely the last thing you do when ALL other upgrades are complete:
  • X-Bows, Inferno Towers (slight exaggeration, but please get some good work in before buying or upgrading these defenses!)
  • Town Hall

Just got Town Hall 9, X-Bows, here I come!

• Don't place those X-Bows, please!
  • Well crap, I already built them.
    • Stop upgrading them!
    • Work on Queen and troops first!
  • Here's kinda a decent guideline:
    • Buy them with Queen lv 10
    • Upgrade to level 2 at Queen lv 15
    • Upgrade to level 3 at Queen lv 20
    • Though keep in mind if you have trouble attacking bases with higher X-bows, you shouldn't be upgrading yours!

Build Your War Base:

• It's 20178, year of the LaLoon. X-Bows up!

• Wait why is that TH outside the base??
  • Unless you are in the top 5 bases roughly, there is no reason to protect the townhall.
  • A 2-star attack in positions 6-15 is not valuable in war, it is just as much of a fail as a 1-star. All of those bases will be re-hit to 3-star.
  • Protecting your townhall makes your overall defense weaker against a 3-star attack, and should only be done by the highest bases with the highest defenses/heroes/walls that want to defend against intentional 2-stars from much lower bases.
