About the Writer

Hello! My name is Makenna Reese, I use she/her pronouns and I'm from Fairfield California! I'm a amateur journalist, writer, and photographer whose been working on start up newspapers since 2023. I started in high school, being trained by my journalism teacher who had a background in the industry. I quickly fell in love with the medium, by my senior year I would end high school with Editors Cords and decided to become a fulltime journalist.

Since then, I've become the Editor In Chief for my college newspaper "The Solano Pulse" after applying when the classes first started up. I work alongside two other Editor In Chief's and two copy editors. I've written 5 stories for this newspaper, with many more being produced currently! 

Note: All contributing people to my articles are properly sourced and credited. While I've done most of my own writing, I've also worked with others in the past before to get the best story plausible! This website is also still in development.
