Overview
ReelShield is designed to work entirely on your device. ReelShield does not require an account and does not send your personal data to a server.
What ReelShield accesses
ReelShield uses Android Accessibility access to detect supported short-form video screens in Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels. ReelShield also stores your app settings and local progress history on your device.
What ReelShield uses this access for
ReelShield uses Accessibility access only to:
• detect supported short-form video screens
• show reminders, prompts or countdown overlays based on your selected mode
• perform a Back action when your selected mode requires leaving the short-video screen
What ReelShield does not collect
ReelShield does not:
• create an account for you
• collect your passwords
• capture screenshots
• record your messages
• upload your screen content
• use advertising IDs
• include analytics or advertising SDKs
Data storage
ReelShield stores data locally on your device only. This may include your selected mode, per-app time settings, local progress counters and local usage summaries related to supported short-form video sessions.
Data sharing
ReelShield does not share personal data with third parties.
If you start a trial, subscription or lifetime purchase, the purchase is processed by Google Play under your existing Play account. ReelShield does not receive or store your payment-card details. It stores only the locally verified access type and the last verification time.
Internet access
ReelShield does not request the Android INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission. Google Play purchase screens and payment processing are provided by the separately installed Google Play Store app.
Security
ReelShield disables Android backup for app data and is designed to minimise exported surfaces. Accessibility data is used only for the app's declared purpose.
Your choices
You can disable Accessibility access at any time in Android settings, turn protection on or off inside the app, or uninstall the app at any time.
