Dr. Debra L. Robinson Files for Sixth Term on the School Board

West Palm Beach, FL- Debra L. Robinson, M.D. formally filed for re-election to the Palm Beach County School Board, District 7 today. She has tirelessly served the students and families of Palm Beach County for the last 17 years and looks forward to the opportunity of another term.

“The students of Palm Beach County deserve every possible opportunity to be successful and I will continue working with district leadership, parents, and the community to make ensure this is a reality” said Dr. Debra Robinson.

Robinson was first elected to the Palm Beach County School board in 2000 and has been re-elected subsequently. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the School Board. Prior to serving on the board, she began advocating for her sons’ education in Palm Beach County Schools, which led to her becoming a tireless education advocate for all students in the community.

Dr. Robinson recently retired from practicing medicine at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Throughout her career she worked in emergency medicine, private practice internal medicine, and primary care. She earned her M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine and her B.S. in Biology from Michigan State University. She is married to Tay G. Gaines, M.D., the mother of three adult sons, and grandmother of five grandchildren.
