Reel Saver ("we", "our", or "the App") is a utility tool that helps users download publicly accessible Instagram Reels and videos by pasting a link. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our App.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our App does not require an account, does not collect your personal identity information, and does not store your Instagram credentials. However, the App does use limited third-party services (described in Section 5) to display ads and fetch video data — please read this policy in full so you understand exactly what is and isn't collected.
The App does NOT collect and has no mechanism to collect:
Personal Identity – No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or residential addresses
Credentials – No Instagram usernames or passwords. We never see or store your login information
Browsing Data – We do not track the websites you visit or your general browsing history
Sensitive Data – No payment information, precise location data, or health data
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, the App does integrate with the third-party services listed below, each of which processes limited data as described in Section 5. We do not control how these third parties use data beyond what is described here — please review their respective privacy policies for full details:

What: The Instagram URL you paste into the App
Why: To fetch the video/media for download
How: Sent to a third-party API service (via RapidAPI) to retrieve the downloadable media URL
Storage: Not stored on our own servers; we do not operate a backend server that retains this data
What: Video files you choose to download
Where: Saved to your device's gallery/MediaStore
Storage: Stored locally on your device only; you can delete them anytime from the app's library or your device settings
What: Thumbnail, caption, and save date of downloaded videos
Where: Stored locally on your device only
Purpose: To display in your in-app Library for easy access
Storage: Never uploaded anywhere; removed if you clear history or uninstall the App
What: Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and other ad-related identifiers to serve and measure ads
Why: To display ads within the App, which supports free access to the App
Control: You can reset or limit ad tracking through your device's system settings (Settings > Google > Ads on Android)
RapidAPI
Purpose: Fetch Instagram video/media data from third-party APIs
Data Shared: Only the Instagram URL you paste into the App
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
Purpose: Display ads within the App
Data Shared: Advertising ID and device/technical identifiers, per Google's advertising policies
Firebase Remote Config
Purpose: Remotely manage app configuration and ad settings without requiring an app update
Data Shared: No personal data; configuration signals only
Storage/Media Access – To save downloaded videos to your device gallery
Internet Access – To fetch video data from the API and load ads
We do not operate our own backend server that stores your personal data. Instagram links you submit are processed through the third-party API to retrieve media and are not retained by us afterward. Data stored locally on your device (download history, saved videos) is protected by your device's own operating system security.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account registration. However, because the App displays ads via Google AdMob, if you believe the App is being used by a child, we recommend supervising use and configuring your device's ad settings accordingly.
Videos: Stored on your device until you delete them
Download History: Stored locally until you clear it in Settings or uninstall the App
How to Delete:
Remove individual videos from Library
Use "Clear download history" in Settings
Use "Delete all videos" in Settings
Reset/limit your advertising ID via your device's system settings
Since we do not operate servers that store your personal identity data, most data subject requests (access, correction, deletion) apply to data stored locally on your own device, which you control directly through the App's Settings.
