Reel Recorder is a tape recorder app for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data We Collect
Audio Recordings
All audio recordings are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, access, or store your recordings on any server.
Analytics (Amplitude)
We use Amplitude to collect anonymous usage data to improve the app. This includes:
App open/close events
Feature usage (recording, playback, reel interaction)
Device type and OS version
Purchase events (upgrade, restore)
We do not collect:
Your name, email, or personal information
Audio content or recordings
Precise location
Contacts, photos, or other personal data
Microphone Access
The app requests microphone access solely for the purpose of audio recording. Microphone data is only captured when you actively start a recording and is stored locally on your device.
In-App Purchases
Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties, except:
Amplitude — anonymous usage analytics (no personal identifiers)
Apple — App Store purchase processing
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained by Amplitude according to their retention policy. You can delete all local app data by uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
Reel Recorder does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information.
Your Rights
You can:
Delete all recordings by deleting them within the app
Remove all app data by uninstalling the app
Disable analytics by disabling internet access for the app

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
