Reel Recorder — Privacy Policy

Overview

Reel Recorder is a tape recorder app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data the app and its service providers process.

Recordings and microphone

The app requests microphone access when you record audio. Recordings remain on your device; we do not upload, access, or store their audio content on our servers. You can delete recordings in the app or remove local app data by uninstalling it.

Usage analytics

Both the iOS and Android apps include Amplitude analytics. When an analytics key is configured, Amplitude may receive an app or device identifier, device type, OS version, app-open and feature-use events, recording duration (without audio content), and Pro purchase or restore events. We use this information to understand and improve the app. Analytics is disabled when no key is configured. We do not send recording audio to Amplitude.

Purchases

Pro purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The app checks the store's purchase state to unlock Pro and remove ads. We do not collect or store payment card details. The relevant store handles purchase data under its own privacy policy.

Advertising and consent

Free users may see a bottom banner served by Google AdMob after the app checks purchase state and applicable advertising consent. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic data to deliver, measure, and protect ads. IP address may be used to infer approximate location; the app does not request precise location access for advertising. Google User Messaging Platform requests applicable consent and displays a privacy choices entry in the app when required. The options depend on your region and the messages configured for this app. Pro users do not receive banner requests after their purchase is confirmed.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell recording audio or upload it to our servers. Amplitude processes usage analytics when enabled, Apple or Google processes purchases, and Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform process advertising and consent data for eligible free users. These providers retain data under their own policies. Local recordings remain until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

The app does not require account creation and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Choices and contact

You can delete recordings in the app. Where required, use the app's Ad Privacy Choices entry to review advertising choices.
