Reel Picks is designed so that your data stays yours.
Nothing. Reel Picks has no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.
Everything you do in Reel Picks — your watch-later list, favorites, watched movies, ratings, trophies, avatar choice, pick history, and settings — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
To show you movie information, Reel Picks sends requests to:
The Movie Database (TMDB) — to fetch movie titles, posters, ratings, box office data, and recommendations. These requests contain only the search terms and filters you choose (for example, a genre or a movie title). They are subject to TMDB's own privacy policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
That is the only outside service the app contacts. Where-to-watch information comes from TMDB as well (their data is provided by JustWatch), so no separate service is involved.
Neither request includes your name, contact details, precise location, or any identifier tied to you as a person.
If you turn on the weekly movie night reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your phone, and you can turn it off anytime in the app's Settings or your phone's system settings.
When you use "Invite someone to movie night" or share a trophy, the app opens your phone's standard share menu. What you share, and with whom, is entirely your choice — Reel Picks never sees or stores it.
Reel Picks does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new "last updated" date.
